Writer. Editor. Internet Person.

I want to live in a world where everyone has access to adequate health information.

I'm working towards that goal by providing thought-provoking news and information about health disparities, healthcare access, and health equity. As a journalist, I've written on health and healthcare policy for The Richmond Times-Dispatch in Virginia, The National Journal in Washington, DC, and The Jersey Journal in New Jersey. As a content strategist, I've produced text, video, and audio projects for a variety of health news websites and health systems around the country.

I hold a bachelor's and masters' degree in journalism from the State University of New York College at New Paltz and Columbia University, respectively.

When I'm not writing and editing, I'm creating mental movies about the next blockbuster YA novel for adults.

My hobbies include obsessively re-reading books by Octavia Butler, napping, pretending to be a forensic scientist, and watching police procedural dramas. My favorite doctors include House M.D., Doc McStuffins, and the subway skin savior Dr. Zizmor.
